Key Responsibilities:
- Accounting System Development & Customization:
- Design, develop, and implement accounting modules focusing on CRM, eCommerce, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Order Entry, Payroll, Purchase Orders, Inventory Control, Banking, and financial processes.
- Customize existing solutions to enhance financial reporting, tax compliance, and management reports.
- Collaborate with the programming team to gather and analyze accounting and financial data accurately.
- System Integration:
- Integrate third-party systems such as payment processors, unified communications systems for CRM, web scraping or APIs with vendor portals for order placement, and other business applications.
- Ensure seamless data flow and security between financial and non-financial modules.
- Accounting Automation:
- Develop automation solutions for routine accounting processes, including bank and vendor invoice reconciliations, invoicing, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
- Enhance the accuracy and efficiency of financial workflows through automation.
- Provide a 24/7 online portal for customer self-service.
- Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support for ERP-related accounting modules.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial data accuracy and system performance.
- Reporting & Analysis:
- Create and maintain custom financial reports and dashboards within the accounting system.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements through system configuration.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related field (equivalent experience may be considered).
- 3+ years of experience in ERP or accounting system development (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Sage, or custom-built accounting systems).
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in programming languages and tools such as SQL, Java, Python, or similar.
- Experience with ERP APIs and integration tools.
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, CockroachDB).
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in ERP or accounting platforms (e.g., SAP Certified Application Associate, Microsoft Dynamics Certification).
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like Sage Accounting, QuickBooks, Xero, or Zoho Books.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
